Tracy Residents First
I strongly believe that our current city council’s priorities do not align with a large majority of Tracy residents. Community interests should be served first – BEFORE housing developers and BEFORE warehousing companies. I have repeatedly and publicly called on the council to put our residents first.

As a community advocate, I have been speaking on this issue before our city council for years. It is time that Tracy becomes a city that holds criminals accountable. We should be an example for all of the Central Valley to show how to keep our kids and residents safe. Our current city council has approved funding that allows for 105 officers. Considering Tracy has a population of 100K, we simply cannot sustain law and order without increasing our budget for public safety. I have acted as a board member on Tracy Crime Stoppers and am an ardent supporter of our law enforcement teams. As your next city councilman, I will get this done.

It's time for a common sense approach to homelessness. Tracy has a fully funded shelter that was promised by our long-time politicians to be built in 2021. They have failed our residents and they now forecast opening the shelter in September of 2023. As a 27-year career project manager, I know how to get this project built. I have toured

They have failed our residents and they now forecast opening the shelter in September of 2023. As a 27-year career project manager, I know how to get this project built. I have toured four Tracy homeless encampments with county and local outreach teams, met with our unhoused and understand the issues. I've toured Tracy Interfaith and have a solid understanding of the current resources being used to address our current homelessness issues.

I have read the Martin v. Boise case decision in front of our city council. It states clearly that unhoused individuals are allowed to sleep in our public spaces, nothing more. It is time to prioritize clean, safe parks. I am not afraid to get this done.

Consider these two points:
1. Seven years ago Forbes named Tracy as the city that should build the next business center, similar to the Hacienda Business Park in Pleasanton, CA.

Consider these two points:
1. Seven years ago Forbes named Tracy as the city that should build the next business center, similar to the Hacienda Business Park in Pleasanton, CA.
2. Tracy has been recently ranked as the 2nd worst commute town in the US.
It is simply unacceptable that our elected officials have allowed continuous warehousing and home developments to be built, without building the career center that will allow Tracy residents to live and work in the same city, in a home they own. As a 27-year project manager, I have the skills to get this done.

Our city council approved a mere $2M for road improvements for fiscal year 2021/2022. Considering Tracy had a capital improvement budget of $352M and considering $2M is the cost of widening about one mile of roadway, this is simply not adequate. Considering Tracy had a capital improvement budget of $352M and considering $2M is the cost of widening about one mile of roadway, this is simply not adequate. It's time to trim the fat in our budget and allocate the necessary funds to update our roads and make them safe again. My career has been spent on developing budgets and execution plans, as well as developing successful teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and to expectations.

For many years Tracy has been behind in providing our residents with the shopping options they desire, intelligently located restaurants, medical facilities and high-end grocery outlets. I believe strongly that once the City of Tracy begins working proactively with a pro-business approach, businesses that our residents desire will begin coming to Tracy. I will work diligently on promoting a culture shift to migrate towards a business culture that has a vested interest in the success of our local businesses.

Public Safety- Tracy has seen a 21% spike in violent crime with no solutions being pursued by our city leaders.
Homelessness- We have full funding to build the shelter, but our city council has failed to build it.
Clean Parks- Our leader's inability to make progress on homelessness and violent crime has caused unclean and unsafe parks.
Career Jobs- Instead of bringing good paying jobs, our elected officials have pursued endless industrial development.
Tracy's Roads- Our developers have been allowed to pursue endless building without proper infrastructure being in place.
Experience Counts
Evans has real-life experience. During his many years in Tracy, Dan and his wife Tiffany commuted into the bay area for over 20 years; Evans understands that Tracy residents must endure one of the worst commutes in the United States, to afford to live in the Triangle. Dan and Tiffany have raised two children they are very proud of.
He believes in fiscal responsibility. Dan Evans holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management and with 27 years of experience, he has built successful teams that deliver on time and under budget. In fewer words, he knows how to get things done.
Evans currently serves on the Measure V Residents' Oversight Committee, ensuring responsible use of our tax dollars.
Community Involvement Matters
Dan Evans has been a tireless advocate for Tracy families and businesses. As a 26-year resident of Tracy, he has spent several years fighting for an array of issues to improve the quality of life in Tracy. While there have been successes along the way, he believes that real improvements must come from our city council.
Evans is no stranger to community service. He is a Commissioner on the Measure V Resident's Oversight Committee and has served on local boards including Tracy Crime Stoppers and FIX’d Inc. Evans has been very active in the Tracy community including planning.
He supports our military. In 2021 he planned and conducted a candlelight vigil for the community to mourn the loss of our 13 service members, that lost their lives in Afghanistan. Mr. Evans pursued and obtained approval for the Gold Star Flag to be raised at Tracy City Hall each year for Gold Star Family Day.
"Being active in our community this year has been very rewarding. I can't wait to put my experience to work for our amazing residents". Dan Evans
